If your answer Is YES, YES, YES! Then read me!
I came across information about Django Girls workshops when ı was looking for something to celebrate my birthday! I took several online courses about coding but to be honest, ı dropped them. I know a little bit of HTML, a little bit of CSS etc. My all knowledge on coding consists of bits and pieces. And, Voila!, ı found Django girls. It is non-profit that teaches programming to women all around the world. Then ı attended their workshops in the Hague. The organization was great. We were a group of three people with a tutor. (Claudia, our tutor, was patient and fantastic!! Thank you!!)
The task was making a website within 8 hours! If you want to build yours, here is the link to the tutorial, it is not easy (at least for me). My advice is to check the workshops regularly and join one of them.
I did not finish the task, however, it was really fun. During 8 hours, my brain was boiling, boilingggg, and boooiliiing 🙂 But ı saw nearly 80 people came there, curious in a way to learn something new. The best part was to see people from different ages. Hey, mom, you can learn it too! Don’t be scared, Be open!
